For plinking, target shooting, and general range use, FN Herstal’s 5.7x28mm SS195LF ammunition features a 27-grain hollow point bullet with a lead-free powder and primer. The SS195LF bullet features an aluminum core and a jacket made of copper alloy.
The 5.7x28mm centerfire rifle cartridge known as the FN SS195LF, or Product Number 10700013, was created by FN Herstal for use in the P90 personal defense weapon (PDW) and Five-Seven handgun. The SS190, another 5.7x28mm projectile, was also created at the same time as the SS195LF.
This round is brand-new production and is ideal for use at indoor ranges because it is lead-free and non-corrosive. Also reloadable are the brass casings.

I have both the Ruger carbine and pistol in 5.7. The 27 grain rounds work fine in the carbine but consistently fails to cycle in the pistol. The 40 grain rounds work fine in both pistol and carbine.
