22-250 Rem – 55 gr V-MAX – Hornady Varmint Express (8337) – 200 Rounds

The 22-250 Remington is one of the fastest varmint cartridges around, and it needs a bullet that can keep up. This listing is Hornady Varmint Express 22-250 Rem 55 grain V-MAX ammunition, MPN 8337, sold as a 200 round bulk case. If you shoot coyotes, fox, prairie dogs, or groundhogs, buying 22-250 varmint ammo by the case keeps your rifle running on one load all season.

The 55 grain V-MAX uses a polymer tip that drives rapid fragmentation on impact, which is exactly what varmint and predator hunters want for quick, clean kills on small animals. Hornady rates this load at 3,680 fps with 1,654 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, and lists a ballistic coefficient of .255 and a sectional density of .157 for the bullet. That speed and BC give the load a flat trajectory, so you hold less over targets at long varmint distances. For prairie dog shooters and coyote callers, a flat shooting load makes range estimation errors less costly.

This ammunition is built for any rifle chambered in 22-250 Remington, from factory varmint rifles to heavy barrel bolt-actions. It suits prairie dog shooters who put hundreds of rounds downrange on a trip, predator callers working coyotes and fox, and landowners dealing with groundhogs. Customers often ask whether a 55 grain bullet is a good match for the 22-250, and it is one of the most common weights for the cartridge in standard twist barrels. When you find it groups well in your rifle, order the 200 round bulk case.

Hornady Varmint Express 8337 is made in the USA and is new production ammunition, not reloads. Each cartridge uses a new brass case with a boxer primer, and the load is non-corrosive, so normal cleaning is all your rifle needs. The boxer-primed brass is reloadable, which makes the fired cases useful to handloaders. This bulk case comes in factory packaging as 10 boxes of 20 rounds for a total of 200 rounds of 22-250 Rem varmint ammunition.
