Hunting for 25 ACP ammo that doesn’t cost a fortune per round? Grab this 1000 round case of PPU PPH25 25 ACP 50 grain FMJ ammo from Prvi Partizan and finally shoot your vest pocket pistol as much as you want.
The 25 ACP was designed by John Browning in 1905 for tiny vest pocket pistols. These guns rely on a precise match between bullet weight, powder charge, and recoil spring. PPU loads the classic 50 grain full metal jacket bullet, the weight almost every 25 pistol was designed to run with. The round nose FMJ profile feeds reliably in small magazines and short feed ramps that can hang up with other bullet shapes. PPU rates this load at 770 fps and 65 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, so recoil is light and follow-up shots are easy. That makes it ideal for learning the long, small triggers typical of these pistols.
Prvi Partizan has made ammunition in Serbia since 1928 and still produces 25 ACP in volume when many other makers have cut back. It runs in the Baby Browning, Colt Junior, Beretta 950 Jetfire and 21A Bobcat, Bauer, Raven, Phoenix Arms HP25, and older European pistols such as the Walther Model 9. The 25 ACP is also called the 25 Auto, 6.35mm Browning, and 6.35x15mm, so any pistol with those markings will chamber it. This ammo is intended for target practice and plinking, not self-defense. Many collectors also use it to test function on vintage pistols before adding them to a collection.
This imported ammo is new production, brass-cased, Boxer-primed, and non-corrosive. The fired brass is reloadable. Each box holds 50 rounds, and twenty boxes make up this 1000 round case, which is enough to keep several small pistols fed for a long time. Owners of older pistols should inspect the extractor and recoil spring before long range sessions, since many 25s are decades old.
