30 Carbine – 110 Gr FMJRN – PPU (PP30F) – 500 Rounds

The M1 Carbine is one of the most enjoyable historic rifles to shoot, and PPU’s 30 Carbine load keeps it running at a fair price. This listing is PPU 30 Carbine 110 grain full metal jacket round nose ammo, MPN PP30F, sold as 500 rounds for M1 Carbine owners, collectors, and anyone shooting a 30 Carbine revolver or modern carbine.

PPU rates this load at 1,990 fps with 967 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, in line with the original military ball specification for the cartridge. The 110 grain round nose bullet is the standard 30 Carbine weight and feeds reliably from 15 and 30 round M1 Carbine magazines. Recoil is light, making it a good round for new shooters and longer range sessions. A full metal jacket bullet does not expand, so this ammunition is for target practice and plinking rather than hunting or defense.

This ammunition fits firearms chambered in 30 Carbine, also called 30 M1 Carbine or 7.62x33mm, including original USGI M1 Carbines from Inland, Winchester, and others, modern reproductions from Inland Manufacturing and Auto-Ordnance, and the Ruger Blackhawk revolver chambered in 30 Carbine. A common question is whether this ammunition is safe in vintage M1 Carbines. It is loaded to the standard 30 Carbine specification and is commonly used in originals, but have any older rifle inspected first. Another common question is whether 30 Carbine is the same as 30-30. It is not. They are entirely different cartridges.

PPU PP30F is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in Serbia by Prvi Partizan. Each round uses a reloadable brass case with a boxer primer and non-corrosive priming, so there is no need for the extra cleaning older corrosive surplus required. This listing ships as 10 boxes of 50 rounds for a total of 500 rounds from one lot, enough for many afternoons of shooting a classic carbine.
