357 Sig – 125 gr FMJ – Federal (AE357S2) – 1000 Rounds

The 357 SIG remains a favorite with some agencies and shooters who like its flat trajectory and reliable feeding, but practice ammo can be scarce. This listing is Federal American Eagle 357 SIG 125 grain full metal jacket ammo, MPN AE357S2, sold as a 1,000 round case so you can train with your 357 SIG pistol without hunting for ammo.

Federal rates this load at 1,350 fps with 506 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The 357 SIG was designed to duplicate the performance of a 125 grain 357 Magnum load from a semi-automatic pistol, and this practice round matches the velocity of most 125 grain duty loads in the caliber. The bottleneck case feeds very reliably. Recoil is sharper than 9mm, so regular practice pays off. A full metal jacket bullet does not expand, so this ammunition is for training, not self defense.

This ammunition fits pistols chambered in 357 SIG, including the Glock 31, 32, and 33, SIG Sauer P226, P229, and P320 in 357 SIG, and Smith and Wesson and Springfield models offered in the caliber. A common question is whether a 40 S&W pistol can shoot 357 SIG. Many 40 S&W pistols can convert by swapping only the barrel, since both share the same case head and often the same magazines. Another common question is whether 357 SIG can be fired in a 357 Magnum revolver. No. They are completely different cartridges despite the similar name.

Federal AE357S2 is new production ammunition, not reloads, loaded in Anoka, Minnesota. Each round uses a reloadable brass case with a boxer primer and non-corrosive priming. This case ships as 20 boxes of 50 rounds for a total of 1,000 rounds from one lot. Because 357 SIG can be hard to find locally, a full case keeps your pistol supplied for qualifications, classes, and regular practice.
