Revolver shooters go through a lot of ammo learning a double action trigger, and a full case keeps the practice affordable. This listing is PMC Bronze 38 Special 132 grain full metal jacket ammo, MPN 38G, sold as a 1,000 round case for high-volume revolver practice.
PMC rates this load at 917 fps with 232 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The 132 grain bullet is lighter than the classic 158 grain 38 Special weight, which keeps recoil soft and makes it a comfortable load for new shooters, long range sessions, and lightweight snub-nose revolvers. Because it uses a full metal jacket rather than exposed lead, it leaves less lead fouling in the barrel and forcing cone and is often welcome at indoor ranges that restrict exposed-lead bullets. The FMJ bullet does not expand, so this is practice ammunition rather than a defensive or hunting load.
This ammunition fits revolvers and rifles chambered in 38 Special, including Smith and Wesson J-frames such as the 642 and 442, the Model 10 and Model 686, the Ruger LCR, SP101, and GP100, Colt Cobra and King Cobra, Taurus 856, and 38/357 lever action rifles. A common question is whether 38 Special works in a 357 Magnum revolver. Yes. A 357 chamber safely fires 38 Special, and many 357 owners practice with 38s for lower cost and recoil. Never fire 357 Magnum in a gun marked only 38 Special. Another common question is whether this is +P. It is not. It is standard pressure ammunition, suitable for older revolvers in good condition.
PMC 38G is new production ammunition, not reloads, loaded in South Korea. Each round uses a reloadable brass case with a boxer primer and is non-corrosive, so the brass is easy to collect from a revolver and reload. This case comes in factory packaging as 20 boxes of 50 rounds for a total of 1,000 rounds of 38 Special 132 grain FMJ. Buying by the case keeps you on one production lot so your revolver sees consistent ammunition from box to box.

Wow! Placed my order on a Saturday evening and received on Wednesday!! Given that I am a new customer and had to send IL FOID details, this process was seemless and still received within days. The cost for 1k rounds of 38SPL beat anyplace that sold this caliber. And that’s assuming you can find it!!! Thank you Bulkmunitions, you have a repeat customer!
