Small 380 pistols are among the most carried handguns in the country, yet many owners rarely practice with them. A full case of affordable brass-cased ammo changes that. This listing is CCI Blazer Brass 380 Auto 95 grain full metal jacket ammo, MPN 5202, sold as a 1,000 round case.
CCI rates this load at 945 fps with 188 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The 95 grain FMJ round nose is the standard 380 practice bullet and feeds reliably in compact pistols with short magazines and tight feed ramps. Regular practice is especially valuable with pocket pistols, which have short sight radiuses and snappy recoil. Since the bullet does not expand, this is a practice load, and a hollow point should be used for carry.
This ammunition fits pistols chambered in 380 ACP, also known as 380 Auto or 9mm Kurz, such as the Ruger LCP and LCP Max, the Glock 42, the SIG P238 and P365-380, the Smith and Wesson Bodyguard and Shield EZ 380, the Walther PPK/S, the Taurus TCP, and the Bersa Thunder 380. A common question is how often you should practice with a carry pistol. Shooting a box of 50 every month or two keeps basic skills sharp, and a case this size supports that for a long time. Another common question is whether Blazer Brass is reloadable. Yes. The brass cases with boxer primers can be reloaded, unlike aluminum-cased Blazer.
Blazer Brass 5202 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in the USA by CCI in Lewiston, Idaho. It is non-corrosive and uses brass cases with boxer primers. This case contains 20 boxes of 50 rounds for a total of 1,000 rounds of 380 Auto 95 grain FMJ. For a caliber that sometimes runs short on store shelves, a full case gives you a long-term supply from one consistent lot.
