7.5×54 French – 139 Gr FMJ – PPU (PP7F) – 200 Rounds

Pick up this 200 round case of PPU PP7F 7.5×54 French 139 grain FMJ ammo from Prvi Partizan and keep your French service rifle fed for a full season at the range. Loaded ammunition for the 7.5×54 MAS is hard to find on store shelves, and many owners of these rifles have gone years shooting only what they could reload themselves. This case gives you a steady supply of fresh, factory loaded cartridges built to the original dimensions.

Each cartridge carries a 139 grain full metal jacket bullet. The factory rates this load at 2,723 fps and 2,289 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The FMJ design feeds smoothly, punches clean holes in paper and holds together on steel, which makes it a good match for plinking, sighting in, practice and collector shooting sessions. Because the jacket does not expand, this is not a hunting load, and it should not be used on game.

The 7.5×54 French, often called the 7.5 MAS, was adopted by France in 1929 and served as the French military rifle cartridge for decades. It was chambered in the MAS 36 bolt action rifle, the MAS 49 and MAS 49/56 semi automatic rifles, and the FM 24/29 light machine gun. Some of these rifles have been rebarreled or converted to other cartridges over the years, and the 7.5×54 is not interchangeable with the 7.5×55 Swiss, so confirm your rifle is marked and chambered for 7.5×54 French before loading. PPU, short for Prvi Partizan, has made ammunition in Serbia since 1928 and is one of the few makers still producing this cartridge in quantity.

This is new production ammunition, not surplus or reloads. Every round is loaded in a brass case with a Boxer primer, so the brass is reloadable, and the priming is non-corrosive, so there is no need for the special cleaning routine that old military surplus demands. The PP7F case holds 10 boxes of 20 rounds for a total of 200 rounds, enough to break in a new to you MAS 36 or MAS 49/56 and still have plenty left over. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the boxes sealed until use to protect the cartridges from moisture.
