PMC X-Tac 7.62X is built to M80 ball specifications, the standard 7.62 NATO service load, which makes it a natural fit for battle rifles designed around military ammunition. This listing is PMC X-Tac 7.62x51mm NATO 147 grain full metal jacket boat tail ammo, MPN 7.62X, sold as a 500 round case.
PMC rates this load at 2,800 fps with 2,611 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The 147 grain FMJ boat tail bullet matches the M80 weight, so rifles zeroed with military ball will shoot close to the same point of impact. The boat tail base helps the bullet hold velocity for practice at medium and long range. A full metal jacket bullet does not expand reliably, so this ammunition is for training, steel, and practice rather than hunting.
This ammunition fits rifles chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, including the Springfield M1A and M14 pattern rifles, FN FAL and SCAR 17, HK91 and PTR-91, AR-10 and LR-308 platforms, and military surplus rifles chambered in 7.62 NATO. A common question is whether 7.62×51 and 308 Winchester are interchangeable. In most modern rifles they are, since the dimensions are nearly identical, but always follow your rifle maker’s guidance, especially with older surplus rifles. Another common question is whether X-Tac is the same as PMC Bronze 308B. Both use a 147 grain FMJ-BT bullet, but X-Tac is loaded as a 7.62 NATO military-spec cartridge and is slightly faster.
PMC 7.62X is new production ammunition, not reloads, loaded in South Korea. Each round uses a reloadable brass case with a boxer primer and is non-corrosive. This case comes in factory packaging as 25 boxes of 20 rounds for a total of 500 rounds of 7.62×51 NATO 147 grain FMJ-BT. Buying by the case keeps you on one production lot so your zero holds and your rifle sees the same ammunition from the first box to the last.

I have been using Bulk Munitions for 5 plus years, I have never been disappointed.
We ordered 500 rounds of the .308 PMC XTAC for my 13 yr old son to practice with. It shipped and arrived on time. The ammo has shot flawlessly so far. Wont speak on accuracy because of the shooter in this equation. But in the past with me behind the rifle it has been very consistent. Really love it in my AR10 platform. 0 misfeeds. Only issue would be for reloaders. Sometimes sealed primers make for bad/hard reloads

1st time ordering bulkmunitions. Very pleased with the entire experience. PMC XTAC has always been my 1st choice for my semi autos. This establishment earned my business. I will return for my future needs.

Well, it’s PMC this time, great utilitarian ammo at a great price. What can you say? They always seem to have good prices, but what keeps me coming back to these guys is their customer service, they follow up when there are issues (and as i live in California, there are often issues!) and they do their best to make everything right and stay on top of things. Plus, they are nice people and i like them. So what more can you ask for?
