Most 7.62x54R ammo is steel-cased surplus or full metal jacket, neither of which is a good choice for hunting. This PPU load gives your Mosin a real hunting bullet. The 150 grain soft point boat tail has an exposed lead tip that starts expansion quickly, while the copper jacket controls it for deep penetration. The boat tail and relatively light bullet produce a fast, flat trajectory.
