7mm Rem – 140 Gr PSP-BT – PPU (PP7RM1) – 200 Rounds

A light-for-caliber bullet turns the 7mm Remington Magnum into a flat-shooting deer and pronghorn rifle with a little less recoil than heavy loads. This listing is PPU Standard Rifle 7mm Rem Mag 140 grain pointed soft point boat tail ammo, MPN PP7RM1, sold as 200 rounds. PPU’s pricing makes it practical to shoot magnum hunting ammunition in quantity.

PPU rates this load at 3,110 fps with 2,987 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The 140 grain bullet moves fast for a flat trajectory, and the boat tail helps it keep velocity and resist wind at longer ranges. The soft point exposes lead at the nose to start expansion on deer-sized game. This lighter weight is a strong choice for whitetail, mule deer, and pronghorn across open country, and it pairs well with the heavier PPU 174 grain load if you want separate deer and elk options.

This ammunition fits rifles chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum, including the Savage 110 and Axis, Ruger American and Hawkeye, Remington 700, Tikka T3x, Bergara B-14, Weatherby Vanguard, Winchester Model 70, and Mossberg Patriot. A common question is whether a muzzle brake is worth adding to a 7mm Rem Mag. A brake reduces felt recoil substantially but makes the rifle much louder, so always wear hearing protection at the range. Another common question is whether the 140 grain load is enough for elk. It can work with careful shot selection, but heavier bullets give more margin on large animals.

PPU PP7RM1 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in Serbia by Prvi Partizan. It uses boxer-primed brass cases with non-corrosive priming, so you can reload the empties. This listing ships as 10 boxes of 20 rounds for 200 rounds total from one lot. That provides plenty to sight in, practice at range, and keep one deer load in your rifle for several seasons.
