Federal Syntech replaces the copper jacket of standard range ammo with a polymer coating, which changes how it shoots and how clean your gun stays. This listing is Federal American Eagle Syntech 9mm Luger 124 grain Total Synthetic Jacket flat nose ammo, MPN AE9SJ2, sold as a 500 round case.
Federal rates this load at 1,110 fps with 339 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The Total Synthetic Jacket, or TSJ, encapsulates the lead bullet in a polymer coating, so there is no metal-to-metal contact between bullet and barrel. That eliminates copper fouling, reduces barrel wear and heat, and keeps lead out of the air at the firing line. Federal also uses a cleaner-burning primer in Syntech. Shooters often report slightly less felt recoil than comparable copper-jacketed loads. The bullet does not expand, so this is a training load rather than a defensive load.
This ammunition fits any firearm chambered in 9mm Luger, also called 9x19mm or 9mm Parabellum, including the Glock 17, 19, 34, and 45, SIG P320 and P365, Smith and Wesson M&P9, CZ Shadow 2, Walther Q5, and pistol caliber carbines. A common question is whether Syntech is safe on steel targets. Federal designed Syntech to reduce splash-back on steel compared with copper-jacketed ammunition, which is one reason it is popular for steel matches, though you should always follow safe distance rules. Another common question is whether Syntech works in suppressed pistols. Yes, and the lower fouling is a bonus for suppressor owners.
Federal AE9SJ2 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in the USA. Each round uses a reloadable brass case with a boxer primer and is non-corrosive. This case comes in factory packaging as 10 boxes of 50 rounds for a total of 500 rounds of 9mm 124 grain Syntech TSJ. Buying by the case keeps you on one production lot.

Big fan of Federal Syntech and Bulkmunitions seems to have the best supply of it at a great price with fast shipping!! Always the first site I check when I am running low on ammo. If only they had my choice of self defense ammo as an option, then it will be even better!!

Good stuff. Super clean shooting and accurate ammo. Glad about this place. My local brick-and-mortar store treats this stuff as “exotic”. The shipping was fast. Will buy it again.

If 9mm had a face, it would be this 9mm Luger ammo. While browsing through the catalog looking for a reasonable price for 9mm, I came across the red bullet and my eyes couldn’t release from how oddly beautiful the ammo looked. I purchased it and shot the ammo at the range and for lessons. I recommend this ammo for the quality and conversation starters you can have!

Bulk Ammo Has Excellent Prices. As far as Federal Syntech 9mm Ammo: I have been using it for years at the range. The plastic jacket over the lead Does keep the barrel clean of metal deposits, but I can’t say there is any less power residue. So cleaning is still a must !!! The Accuracy is just as good as metal jacketed bullets. I have had only one bad feed with 1000’s of rounds fired. It was a nick in the plastic cover at the shell casing .
I Would Recommend Syntech For Range Usage …
