More About 9.3x62mm Ammo
German gunmaker Otto Bock designed 9.3x62mm in 1905. His goal was a powerful big game cartridge that would fit a standard Mauser 98 action, giving hunters a practical, affordable rifle for large game.
It became a favorite in Africa and Scandinavia, where it is still widely used on moose, bear, and wild boar. Hunters value its heavy bullets and moderate recoil, and it remains one of the most respected medium-bore cartridges in the world.
