12 Ga – 00 Buck 9P – 2.75″ – Winchester (XB1200) – 5 Rounds

Need a box of dependable 12 gauge buckshot for home defense or deer hunting? Pick up this 5 round box of Winchester Super-X XB1200 12 gauge 2-3/4 inch 00 buckshot.

Each shell holds nine 00 buckshot pellets. At about .33 caliber each, 00 buck is the most popular buckshot size for home defense and law enforcement because it balances penetration, pattern density, and recoil. Winchester buffers the shot with a granulated filler that cushions the pellets during firing. That keeps them rounder, which produces tighter, more consistent patterns. Winchester rates this load at 1,325 fps. The standard 2-3/4 inch length works in virtually every 12 gauge pump, semi-auto, and break-action shotgun, including the Mossberg 500 and 590, Remington 870, Benelli M2, and Beretta 1301. Nine pellets per shell also give you more hits on target than larger buckshot sizes, which helps when shots are fast.

Winchester Super-X has been one of America’s most trusted shotgun lines for generations. For home defense, 00 buck gives you multiple projectiles with each trigger pull, which helps at the short, stressful distances typical inside a home. For hunting, it is a traditional choice for deer and hogs in thick cover where shots are close, where buckshot is legal. Since you should practice with the same ammo you protect your home with, pattern this load at 7, 10, and 15 yards so you know exactly how wide it spreads from your shotgun. A single 5 round box is a convenient way to test the load before buying a full 250 round case.

This American-made Winchester ammo is new production with a 2-3/4 inch plastic hull and a brass-plated head. It is non-corrosive. The box holds 5 rounds. Shotshells should be stored in a cool, dry place away from solvents and oils, and this box fits easily in a nightstand or range bag.
