The 35 grain V-MAX is a lightweight, polymer-tipped varmint bullet. The tip improves the bullet’s aerodynamics and, on impact, drives into the core to create rapid, explosive expansion. On prairie dogs, groundhogs, crows, and foxes, that means dramatic hits with very little risk of pass-through. Because the bullet fragments so completely, it also greatly reduces ricochet risk near livestock and buildings. The light 35 grain weight lets Hornady push this load to 3,070 fps with 732 ft-lbs of muzzle energy.
