22 LR – 36 gr HP – CCI Mini-Mag (0031) – 5000 Rounds

A 5,000 round case is the way serious rimfire shooters, farms, and families with several 22 rifles buy their ammunition. This listing is CCI Mini-Mag 22 Long Rifle 36 grain copper-plated hollow point ammo, MPN 0031, sold as a full 5,000 round case.

CCI rates this load at 1,260 fps with 127 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. Mini-Mag is a high velocity loading, and the 36 grain hollow point opens up on impact, which makes it a dependable choice for squirrels, rabbits, and small pests around the property. The copper plating reduces lead fouling and helps feeding in semi-automatic rifles and pistols. The strong powder charge cycles actions that can be picky with standard velocity ammo, so this load is equally useful for steel plates, small game, and general plinking.

This ammunition fits rifles and handguns chambered in 22 Long Rifle, including the Ruger 10/22, Marlin 60 and 795, Savage 64 and Mark II, Henry lever-action 22, CZ 457, Ruger Mark IV, Browning Buck Mark, and Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22. A common question is whether high velocity 22 LR is safe in a suppressed rifle. It is safe, but at 1,260 fps the bullet is supersonic and creates a crack, so subsonic 22 LR will be quieter. Another common question is whether 22 LR fits a 22 Magnum chamber. It does not. The 22 WMR case is longer and wider, so fire only 22 LR in guns marked for it.

CCI 0031 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in the USA by CCI in Lewiston, Idaho. Rimfire cases are not reloadable. This case contains 50 boxes of 100 rounds for a total of 5,000 rounds of 22 LR 36 grain CPHP. A case that size can be shared across every 22 in the house and still last for many seasons of hunting and range trips, all from one consistent load. Store it in a cool, dry place and it will keep its reliability for years.
