The 55 grain hollow point is meant for varmints and small predators, where the open nose helps the bullet expand more than a full metal jacket would. It is also a popular economy plinking round. Wolf uses a polymer coating on its steel cases to aid extraction and protect against corrosion. This is not a premium controlled expansion bullet, so it is best suited to varmints and target shooting rather than deer-sized game.
