308 Win – 150 Gr SP – PPU (PP3081) – 200 Rounds

Want an affordable 308 deer load you can practice with, too? Pick up this 200 round case of PPU PP3081 308 Winchester 150 grain soft point ammo from Prvi Partizan.

This load uses a 150 grain soft point bullet with an exposed lead tip. The soft tip starts expansion as soon as it hits, and the copper jacket controls that expansion so the bullet holds together and penetrates into the vitals. That traditional cup-and-core design has taken countless whitetail, mule deer, black bear, and hogs. PPU rates this load at 2,820 fps and 2,648 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. With a 200 yard zero, you can hold on a deer’s vitals out to about 275 yards. The 150 grain weight also keeps recoil moderate, which helps newer hunters shoot confidently. It is also a sensible choice for hogs and black bear at moderate range, and it performs consistently from both 20 and 24 inch barrels.

The 308 Winchester is one of the most popular hunting and target cartridges in the world. It is chambered in bolt actions like the Remington 700, Ruger American, Savage 110, Tikka T3x, and Winchester Model 70, and in semi-automatics like the AR-10, SIG 716, Springfield M1A, and FN FAL. The 7.62x51mm NATO and 308 Winchester are closely related, so check your rifle’s barrel markings before firing. Prvi Partizan has made ammunition in Serbia since 1928 and is known for dependable hunting loads at a fair price. Since you should practice with the same ammo you hunt with, a 200 round case lets you zero, practice field positions, and stock up for several seasons without switching lots.

This imported ammo is new production, brass-cased, Boxer-primed, and non-corrosive. The fired brass is reloadable. Each box holds 20 rounds, and ten boxes make up this 200 round case. Store the extra boxes in a cool, dry place and they will be ready for many seasons.
