308 Win – 155 gr ELD-M – Black Hills (1C308BHGN12) – 100 Rounds

A lighter, faster 308 match load is a good fit for shorter barrels and for shooters who want a flatter trajectory at mid range. This listing is Black Hills Gold 308 Winchester 155 grain ELD Match ammo, MPN 1C308BHGN12, sold as 100 rounds for precision rifle competitors, tactical marksmen, and owners of compact 308 bolt guns and gas guns.

Black Hills lists this load at 2,800 fps with 2,698 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The 155 grain ELD Match bullet carries a heat resistant polymer tip and a low drag boat tail profile, so it holds a stable ballistic coefficient throughout its flight. The higher starting velocity compared with 168 or 175 grain loads helps shorter barrels keep the bullet supersonic further downrange. Because the bullet is designed for accuracy rather than controlled expansion, it is meant for targets, not for hunting game.

This ammunition fits rifles chambered in 308 Winchester, such as the Tikka T3x TAC A1, Bergara B-14 HMR, Ruger Precision Rifle, Savage 110 Tactical, Remington 700 SPS Tactical, Springfield Model 2020 Waypoint, and AR-10 style rifles like the Aero M5, LaRue OBR, and Ruger SFAR. A common question is whether a 155 grain bullet works in a 1:12 twist barrel. Yes. Lighter 30 caliber bullets stabilize easily in 1:10 and 1:12 twists, which suits many factory 308 rifles. Another common question is whether Black Hills Gold is the same as standard Black Hills. Gold is the company’s premium line, built around premium bullets such as Hornady’s ELD family.

Black Hills 1C308BHGN12 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in Rapid City, South Dakota. It uses high quality boxer-primed brass cases that are reloadable, with non-corrosive primers. This listing contains 5 boxes of 20 rounds for 100 total from one lot, which is enough to build a solid dope card and shoot a match with consistent velocity. Record your chronograph data from the first box and keep it with the lot number.
