Federal Gold Medal Match with the 175 grain Sierra MatchKing is a benchmark long range 308 load used by competitors, precision shooters, and military and police marksmen. This listing is Federal Premium Gold Medal 308 Winchester 175 grain Sierra MatchKing boat tail hollow point ammo, MPN GM308M2, sold as a 200 round case.
The 175 grain Sierra MatchKing was developed to stay supersonic farther than the older 168 grain bullet, which helps it hold accuracy and resist wind drift past 800 yards in many rifles. Federal pairs it with match-grade brass, consistent powder charges, and Gold Medal match primers for tight velocity spreads. Federal rates this load at 2,600 fps with 2,627 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The MatchKing hollow point is an accuracy feature, not an expanding hunting bullet, so this ammunition is designed for target shooting and competition rather than hunting.
This ammunition fits rifles chambered in 308 Winchester, including the Remington 700 and 700 Police, Ruger Precision Rifle, Tikka T3x TAC A1, Savage 10 and 110, Bergara B-14, Springfield M1A, and AR-10 platform precision rifles. A common question is whether to choose 168 grain or 175 grain Gold Medal. The 168 grain load is a classic choice to about 600 yards, while the 175 grain bullet carries better at long range and is often preferred in 1:10 and 1:11.25 twist barrels. Your rifle decides, so test both if you can. Another common question is whether this load works in a semi-auto. Yes. It is loaded to standard 308 pressure and cycles properly in gas guns.
Federal GM308M2 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in the USA in Anoka, Minnesota. Each round uses a boxer-primed brass case and is non-corrosive, and the brass is popular with handloaders. This case comes in factory packaging as 10 boxes of 20 rounds for a total of 200 rounds. Buying by the case keeps you on one lot so your data book and come-ups stay valid from box to box.

First off, great service. Thanks. Second, I believe that each rifle has a favorite round. My Remington 700 PSS loves this ammo and regularly shoots well out to 1250 yards with this Federal round.

A 308 rifle with a 1-8 twist and 18 inch barrel will shoot this ammo well…
Andy (verified owner) –
Exceptional accuracy in my Springfield Waypoint .308 cal. Approximately 1/8 MOA at 100yards and maintains less than a 1 inch group at 400 yards….
Cleveland Lewis (verified owner) –
Great rounds, these accurate and consistent loads have produced the best shot groups with my Bergara .308 rifle. Delivery is fast and easy…would recommend.

Bulkmunitions is a great place to buy your ammo from not only do they have the lowest prices ( and I looked around ) there charitable, contributing to your pick of foundations. So back to the ammo, haven’t had a chance to shoot yet but I read about it in a NRA magazine, Pof Rogue ar15 308 1 in 8 twist I’ll see if it works out for me. Then I can really tell you how I like the ammo!
And a tanks to Jamie for the ammo I’m getting now.

Only ammo to group well with my rem700

Extremely accurate ammo, well under 1 MOA 5 round groups though my AR-10 build with a Criterion barrel. Very consistent velocity through the chrono, max variation was 10 fps with an average at 2595 fps out of an 18” barrel. I’ll definitely be buying more of this ammo. It was shipped very quickly with excellent communication from the staff at Bulk Munitions.

This ammo is great. Gold standard for factory precision. Anyway. What I really want to highlight is the club that Bulk Munitions offers. Get it. Trust me. You’ll save a ton of money on shipping. Couple that with the rewards they offer. Forget about it.

This ammo is absolutely worth it. Out of my 18 inch Wilson combat barreled ar10, I managed a 6 shot group (was gonna do 3 but I had too much fun) at 100 yards that was only 1.08 inches, even with a 10mph wind. If you are buying an ar10 and you have a 1/10 twist, this is the ammo for you. Precision matters, and this ammo will show allow your AR10 to be as accurate as can be. Will be buying more in the future.
