5.56x45mm – 55 gr FMJ-BT – Federal (XM193FCBL) – 500 Rounds

XM193 is one of the most popular AR-15 practice loads in the country because it delivers true 5.56 pressure at an everyday price. This listing is Federal American Eagle 5.56x45mm NATO XM193 55 grain full metal jacket boat tail ammo, MPN XM193FCBL, sold as a 500 round case.

Federal rates its XM193 loading at 3,165 fps. That reflects 5.56 NATO pressure, higher than standard 223 commercial ammo, which helps carbine gas systems cycle crisply and keeps bolt velocity consistent. The 55 grain boat tail FMJ stabilizes in every common AR barrel twist and is accurate enough for zeroing, drills, and steel targets. It is a range and training load. Full metal jacket bullets do not expand, so choose another load for hunting.

This ammunition is for rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO or 223 Wylde, including mil-spec AR-15 rifles and carbines, the Ruger Mini-14 marked 5.56, the IWI Tavor X95, the FN SCAR 16S, the HK MR556, and the Springfield Saint. A common question is how to tell whether your rifle is marked 5.56 or 223. Look at the barrel near the muzzle or under the handguard, where the chamber designation is usually stamped. Another common question is whether XM193 is good for zeroing a defensive rifle. It works for a basic zero, but confirm point of impact with your actual defensive load, since heavier bullets can hit differently.

Federal XM193FCBL is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in the USA by Federal. It uses brass cases and is non-corrosive. This listing ships as 500 rounds of 5.56 NATO 55 grain FMJ-BT. Five hundred rounds from one lot covers a carbine course or a long stretch of practice with consistent function and zero. Store the rounds in a sealed ammo can with a desiccant pack for long-term storage, and they will be ready for the next class or range day. Five hundred rounds also splits cleanly into roughly sixteen full 30 round magazines.
