5.56x45mm – 55 gr FMJ – PPU White Box – 1000 Rounds

Prvi Partizan has supplied military rifle ammunition for generations, and its M193 white box load gives AR-15 owners a 5.56 NATO practice round from a long-established factory. This listing is PPU (Prvi Partizan) 5.56x45mm NATO 55 grain full metal jacket M193 ammo, sold as a 1,000 round case.

M193 describes the original military 5.56 NATO ball loading with a 55 grain full metal jacket bullet. It is the reference load many AR-15 rifles were designed around, and the 55 grain bullet stabilizes in every common barrel twist from 1:12 to 1:7. That makes this case useful for zeroing irons and optics, running carbine drills, and shooting steel at typical training distances. A full metal jacket does not expand, so it is not a hunting or self defense load.

This ammunition is for rifles chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO or 223 Wylde, including AR-15 rifles from Colt, Smith and Wesson, Ruger, Daniel Defense, and Aero Precision, the Ruger Mini-14 marked 5.56, the IWI Tavor, the Steyr AUG, and the FN SCAR 16S. A common question is whether M193 and M855 are the same. They are not. M193 uses a 55 grain lead core bullet, while M855 uses a 62 grain bullet with a steel penetrator, and some ranges prohibit the steel penetrator type. Another common question is whether 5.56 can be fired in a 223 Remington chamber. It is not recommended, because 5.56 NATO operates at higher pressure.

PPU M193 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in Serbia by Prvi Partizan. It uses brass cases and is non-corrosive. This listing ships as 1,000 rounds of 5.56 NATO 55 grain FMJ from one lot. A single lot keeps point of impact predictable throughout a training cycle, and buying a full case at once brings the cost per round down for frequent shooters.
