Pick up this 200 round case of PPU PP6CF 6.5×52 Carcano 139 grain FMJ boat tail ammo from Prvi Partizan and get your Italian service rifle back on the firing line. Loaded 6.5×52 Carcano ammunition is rarely seen on store shelves, and old surplus has long since dried up. A full case of fresh, factory loaded cartridges means you can shoot your Carcano regularly instead of saving a handful of rounds.
Each cartridge uses a 139 grain full metal jacket boat tail bullet. The factory rates this load at 2,428 fps with 1,817 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The FMJ boat tail design feeds reliably and is well suited to target practice, plinking, sighting in and collector shooting events. It is a non-expanding range load and is not intended for hunting.
The 6.5×52 Carcano, also called the 6.5×52 Mannlicher-Carcano, was adopted by Italy in 1891 and served as the Italian army’s rifle cartridge through the Second World War. It was chambered in the Carcano Model 1891 rifle and its many carbine and short rifle variants. Italy also fielded some Carcano rifles in other cartridges, and some have been altered since, so confirm your rifle is marked and chambered for 6.5×52 Carcano before loading. Check the condition of the bore and action on any older military rifle before you shoot it. PPU, short for Prvi Partizan, has made ammunition in Serbia since 1928 and is one of the few makers still producing this cartridge in quantity.
This is new production ammunition, not surplus or reloads. Every round is loaded in a brass case with a Boxer primer, so the brass is reloadable, and the priming is non-corrosive, so there is no need for the special cleaning routine that old military surplus demands. The PP6CF case holds 10 boxes of 20 rounds for a total of 200 rounds. The Carcano feeds from a clip, so having a deep supply of matching ammunition makes range days easier. Store the case in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the boxes sealed until use.
