The 124 grain FMJ bullet is the NATO-standard 9mm weight. Compared with 115 grain ammo it carries a little more momentum, which many shooters feel as a softer push rather than a sharp snap, and it more closely matches the weight of common 124 grain defensive loads. PMC rates this load at 1,110 fps with 339 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. A full metal jacket bullet does not expand, so this ammunition is intended for practice, matches, and training drills rather than self defense or hunting.
This ammunition fits any firearm chambered in 9mm Luger, also called 9x19mm or 9mm Parabellum. Common examples include the Glock 17, 19, 34, and 43X, the SIG P320, P226, and P365, the Smith and Wesson M&P9, the Beretta 92 and APX, CZ 75 pistols, and 9mm carbines such as the Ruger PC Carbine and Sig MPX. A common question is why practice with 124 grain. If your carry or duty ammunition is a 124 grain hollow point, training with the same bullet weight keeps recoil and point of impact closer to what you will see with your defensive load. Another common question is whether this is +P. It is not. It is standard pressure and safe in any 9mm pistol in good condition.
PMC 9G is new production ammunition, not reloads, loaded in South Korea. Each round uses a brass case with a boxer primer and is non-corrosive, so the brass is reloadable. This case comes in factory packaging as 20 boxes of 50 rounds for a total of 1,000 rounds of 9mm 124 grain FMJ.
