22 LR – 40 gr CPRN – CCI Mini-Mag (0030) – 5000 Rounds

CCI Mini-Mag is the high velocity 22 that many shooters use to judge every other rimfire load, and a full case means you rarely run short. This listing is CCI Mini-Mag 22 Long Rifle 40 grain copper-plated round nose ammo, MPN 0030, sold as 5,000 rounds for training, plinking, small game hunting, and rimfire competition.

CCI rates this load at 1,235 fps with 135 ft-lbs of muzzle energy. The extra velocity helps semi-automatic rimfire pistols and rifles cycle reliably, which is why Mini-Mag is a common choice for picky 22 handguns. The copper plating on the 40 grain bullet reduces lead fouling and keeps cartridges cleaner to handle compared with bare lead. A round nose bullet does not expand much, so it suits targets, steel, and small game shooting where solids are preferred to limit meat damage.

This ammunition fits rifles and handguns chambered in 22 Long Rifle, including the Ruger 10/22, Ruger Mark IV and SR22, Marlin Model 60, Savage Mark II, CZ 457, Henry H001 lever action, Browning Buck Mark, Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22, Taurus TX22, and Glock 44. A common question is whether 22 LR can be fired in a 22 Short or 22 Magnum gun. No. Use only firearms marked 22 Long Rifle. Another common question is whether Mini-Mag works for small game. Its high velocity round nose bullet is a long time choice for squirrels and rabbits at modest distances where 22 rimfire hunting is legal.

CCI 0030 is new production ammunition, not reloads, made in the USA in Lewiston, Idaho. As a rimfire cartridge it cannot be reloaded, and it is non-corrosive. This case contains 50 boxes of 100 rounds for 5,000 total from one lot, which keeps velocity and accuracy uniform for a long time. Store the boxes in a cool, dry place and a case like this can supply a family of rimfire shooters for years.
