Maglula M1A/M14 Magazine Loader – 308/7.62x51mm (LU20B)

The Maglula LULA, MPN LU20B, is a loader and unloader for M1A and M14 rifle magazines in 308 Winchester and 7.62x51mm NATO. Full size 308 rounds are long and heavy, and the stiff springs in a 20 round M14 magazine make the last several rounds a real fight by thumb. The LULA takes that work off your hands so you can fill magazines quickly at the range, before a match, or when you are restocking after a high round count day.

The LULA fits over the top of the magazine. Each squeeze of the tool presses the stack down so the next round can be dropped in from the top, without forcing it past the feed lips. Unloading works the same way, pushing rounds forward and out. Because the cartridge is never used to push the follower, the feed lips see less wear, which matters on M14 magazines that can be expensive to replace.

Maglula rates the LU20B for quality 10, 20 and 30 round M1A type magazines and for AR-10 magazines that use a rear magazine catch. A common question is whether it fits SR-25, DPMS or Magpul PMAG 308 magazines. Those use a different body, and Maglula makes a separate SR25 / DPMS / PMAG LULA for them, so this model is not the right choice. Another common question is about stuck rounds.
